WELCOME TO ENKA CREDIT UNION
Enka Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative, chartered in 1933 to serve the financial needs of American Enka Company employees. Today the Enka Credit Union tradition continues as our Enka location serves the employees and families of BASF Corporation,Colbond Inc., Kyrus Corporation, Mike's Heating and Cooling, Smokey Mountain Auto Service, Shakespeare Conductive Fibers, A. Brickey Ceiling Company, and Trident Micro Systems, as well as the retired employees and family members from American Enka Company.
The Credit Union, unlike other financial institutions, is owned by its members. Each member is entitled to one vote in the affairs of the Credit Union, and through a member-elected Board of Directors that works closely with Enka Credit Union's professional staff, Credit Union policy is directly influenced by the needs and concerns of the people it serves.
Credit Union membership is available to any active employee of our select employee groups with payroll deduction rights, as well as their family members. As members and part owners of the Credit Union, you and your immediate family, including anyone related by blood, marriage or adoption, are entitled to lifetime financial privileges. These services are available to you and your family no matter where you work or live in the future.
